Her childhood was a turbulent one. At the age of two, her mother abandoned her to escape from an abusive marriage. Pickler had her mother back within her family by the year 1995. She was the one who took charge of Pickler. The situation did not work around as planned. Pickler was reunited with her grandparents when she turned 12 years old. They helped the girl into adulthood. In the absence of her parents, Pickler was too busy being a parent to her kids. Pickler admitted that she no longer had time to learn and she began to understand how to make a living as a homemaker from a very young age. Pickler participated in the cheerleading teams at both her high school as well as middle school. North Stanly High School graduated her in 2004.
